Logos is the Greek word for word or thought. The logos can be a difficult concept to define; it refers to a "stream" of divine thought. In Gnostic doctrine, it refers to the manifestation of deity in the physical world. This is closely related to the hermetic principle of vibration, the cosmic 'sound' by which the universe is created and sustained, and through which one can communicate with the divine. The logos is often described as an ever-present divine manifestation that is both concealed and manifest, depending on one's ability to "hear."

Columbia is the name of America's mother goddess, also known as the Queen of Heaven. This goddess is the Egyptian Isis, who has been known for saying "I, Isis, am all that has been, that is or shall be; no mortal Man hath ever me unveiled." Apuleius describes her powers and attributes in the eleventh book of The Golden Ass:

"Behold, _____, I, moved by thy prayers, am present with thee; I, who am Nature, the parent of things, the queen of all the elements, the primordial progeny of ages, the supreme of Divinities, the sovereign of the spirits of the dead, the first of the celestials, and the uniform resemblance of Gods and Goddesses. I, who rule by my nod the luminous summits of the heavens, the salubrious breezes of the sea, and the deplorable silences of the realms beneath, and whose one divinity the whole orb of the earth venerates under a manifold form, by different rites and a variety of appellations. Hence the primogenial Phrygians call me Pessinuntica, the mother of the Gods, the Attic Aborigines, Cecropian Minerva; the floating Cyprians, Paphian Venus; the arrow-bearing Cretans, Diana Dictynna; the three-tongued Sicilians, Stygian Proserpine; and the Eleusinians, the ancient Goddess Ceres. Some also call me Juno, others Bellona, others Hecate, and others Rhamnusia. She has had many other names throughout the span of our history, such as Venus, Ishtar, Rhea, Athena, Aphrodite, Devaki, Britannia and Semiramis. Often symbolized by an owl, Columbia has been worshipped as the goddess of fertility, wisdom and war - a triple goddess, so to speak.

According to America's history books its capital city, the District of Columbia, is named in honor of Christopher Columbus. Unfortunately, these books fail to mention a great deal about the man; for example, the fact that he was born Prince Nikolaos Ypsilantis in Chios, Greece. Columba is Latin for dove, just as Saint Columba is often referred to as the dove of the church. Columba is also a constellation which sits just south of Canis Major. Columba is close to Sirius, the dog star, the brightest star in the night sky, which sits at Orion's heel (like Odin and his dog). With the exception of our moon, the planet Venus is the brightest object in the night sky and it draws a 5-pointed star across the sky every 8 years. For this reason, the mother goddess has also been symbolized with a 5-pointed star. The tristar or so(u)lar trinity is symbolic in several ways; the most obvious example being a symbol of Osiris, Isis and Horus. The sun, being the source of light and life, moves through three distinct phases each day: rising, midday and setting. Because the sun would die each night and rise again each morning, it became one of the earliest symbols of immortality. This is where the worship of the phoenix and the rising sun come from.

The Phoenix Bird is one of the oldest occult symbols in the world, having been invented in the Egyptian Satanic Mysteries. Occultists believe that only one of these magnificent birds lives at any one time, and lives to be about 500 years old. Then, it self-immolates and its body is reduced to ashes; however, a new Phoenix Bird immediately arises out of these ashes, to live another 500 years. -Manly P. Hall

The virgin mother goddess Isis is also a widow, whose husband had been torn into peices by Set. The widow's son is Horus, who has been symbolized by his powerful missing eye or known today as the all-seeing eye or the eye of providence. This symbol is typically found enclosed in a triangle and/or surrounded by rays of light, for Horus was worshipped as the sun (son) god.

But the pentagram is the most widely used symbol, used on almost every national flag in the world.

Anyone who understands the occult can easily provide an explanation for the fish woman and the 3 pentagrams in the Starbucks logo, but the Texaco logo stands out more to me because its symbolism is so potent; the Tau Cross (Tammuz) inside a pentagram inside a circle makes this symbol suitable for use in ritual magic.
