How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. -Isaiah 14:12-15
Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: for God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. -Genesis 3:1-7
The word occult comes from the Latin occultus, meaning knowledge of the secret, or hidden knowledge; the Greek term for the word is esoteric. Men and women have lusted after the occult ever since the fall of man in the Garden of Eden; there the occult became the ever-expanding antithesis to the truth of God’s love for His creation. The truth, of course has remained the same; and by the grace of God, (in spite of all the enemy’s efforts) His Word of truth, the Holy Bible, has endured. Unfortunately for humanity, the lies of the enemy have infatuated most of God’s beloved creation (Matthew 7:13,14).
And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. -Genesis 6
The giants in the earth in those days, the mighty men of renown are also referred to as the Nephilim. Prior to the flood, fallen angels had relations with human women which resulted in unnaturally giant and powerful offspring. 1,500 years after the fall of man, God destroyed the earth with a great flood because mankind's lust for knowledge and power eventually overwhelmed the world with wickedness and violence. At this point in history all of the accomplishments of man's knowledge and power were lost in the waves of the great flood; the depth of the occult from the first era of our history became an everlasting mystery.

And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan. These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread... Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood. The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras. And the sons of Gomer; Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah. And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations. And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan. And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtechah: and the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan.
And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD. And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. Out of that land went forth Asshur, and builded Nineveh, and the city Rehoboth, and Calah, and Resen between Nineveh and Calah: the same is a great city. -Genesis 9,10
The name Babylon is derived from BAB-ILU, which simply means the portal of the gods, and in a sense it thus portrays a means of access to the gods which is contrary to God's prescribed plan of salvation. In Babylon, access is granted through the system and not by faith in Jesus Christ. It is a system where salvation by works replaces salvation by faith.
To add to the confusion (which is also implied in the name Babylon), the Babylonians believed in an entire pantheon of gods, thus providing more than one intercessor, which also makes the ministry of Jesus of non effect. The Babylonian system of worship has ever been a snare to God's people, as it is more in tune with human nature to rely on salvation by works than on salvation by grace. From the very beginning, these two system of worship have been in confrontation with each other.
The story of Cain and Abel illustrates this point. Abel listened to the divine directive and brought a lamb without blemish (a symbol of the Messiah) as an offering, but Cain brought the fruits of his labor. When the offering of Abel was accepted by God, the anger of Cain was aroused; and ever since this first confrontation between these two systems of worship, the fires of religious intolerance and persecution have been burning on this planet.
Ancient Babylon, according to the scriptures, was the pride of the Chaldeans, it was larger and more impressive than any of the ancient cities, and it was the center of ancient worship. Babylon reached the height of its power and glory under Nebuchadnezzar, and ancient inscriptions on clay tablets tell the story of how his father (Nabopolasser) and he restored the ancient tower of Babel which epitomized salvation by self:
"At the time Marduk commanded me to build the tower of Babel, which had become weakened by time and fallen into disrepair; he commanded me to ground its base securely on the breast of the underworld, whereas its pinnacles should strain towards the skies." -Nabopolasser
"To raise up the top of the E-temen-an-ki that it may rival heaven, I laid my hand." -Nebuchadnezzar.
It is no wonder that God prophesied this great city would one day fall, never to be inhabited again. Approximately 300 years before its destruction by Xerxes, the prophet Isaiah predicted:
And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall the shepherds make their fold there. -Isaiah 13
In spite of this prophecy, there have been attempts to rebuild Babylon. Alexander the Great tried to restore the tower of Babel to its original glory and make the city his capital in 330 BC, but before he could begin he died. In modern history, Saddam Hussein of Iraq also made attempts to restore Babylon, a work he began in the 80’s. He used approximately 60 million bricks in the process and had his name engraved every three meters so that posterity would remember him. However, he seems to have read the prophecies of Isaiah, as his restorations are not an attempt to re-inhabit the city, since he had his palace built on the other side of the Euphrates River.
The Babylonian system of worship, however, has been maintained to this day. The ancient Chaldeans worshipped a pantheon of male and female gods representing the sun god. There were largely three aspects to this system of sun worship, representing the father, mother, and the son. These were the god Bel or Merodach, Ninus the son, who was also worshipped as Tammuz, and the female goddess Rhea who was also worshipped as Ishtar, Astarte, or Beltis representing the mother. She was also referred to as the queen of heaven, and the wrath subduer. Mother and child worship was the basis of the ancient religions. Moreover, the child was worshipped as both husband and son of the mother goddess.
The son, or male component, of the mother-child deities, is the counterfeit Savior, and thus the counterfeit of Jesus Christ. All the titles pertaining to Jesus were also used for the child in ancient religions.
And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: and I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. -Genesis 3
The system of worship has its origin in the legend of Nimrod, and his wife Semiramis. Nimrod was an apostate and rebelled against God, like his father Cush. Eventually Nimrod was put to death for his evil deeds, and according to the ancient patriarchal system, parts of his body were sent to various cities as a warning. His wife Semiramis fled, but spread the rumor that he had ascended to heaven, where he had become one with the sun. When Semiramis later gave birth to a son, she claimed that it was the reincarnation of her deified husband, and that he had returned as Savior of the human race. She was later deified as the mother of god who had ascended into heaven as the queen of heaven.
This myth introduced the worship of the fertility goddess and her gifts of sex and procreation. Consequently, the queen of heaven and her apostate religious system would effectively diminish the population of virgin women. Semiramis also established her own society of female devotees (vestal virgins) who would later be called by the Chaldean term Nun, which means Daughters of Nimrod. This Babylonian religion required a Gnostic hierarchy of priests to control the spread of spiritual knowledge and to direct the necessary sacraments of the religion...
"[The] object was to bind all mankind in blind and absolute submission to a hierarchy entirely dependent on the sovereigns of Babylon. In the carrying out of this scheme, all knowledge, sacred and profane, came to be monopolized by the priesthood, who dealt it out to those who were initiated in the "Mysteries" exactly as they saw fit, according as the interests of the grand system of spiritual despotism they had to administer might seem to require. Thus the people, wherever the Babylonian system spread, were bound neck and heel to the priests. The priests were the only depositaries of religious knowledge; they only had the true tradition by which the writs and symbols of the public religion could be interpreted; and without blind and implicit submission to them, what was necessary for salvation could not be known." -Alexander Hislop, The Two Babylons
With the birth of the Babylonian antichrist came the traditional celebration of his birthday after the winter solstice on December 25th. When Tammuz reached his 40th year he was killed by a wild boar; providing a counterfeit fulfillment of the 2nd half of the prophecy, "and you shall bruise him on the heel." His worshippers lamented over his death for 40 days (one day for each of his years) before he was resurrected/reincarnated. This established a new ritual of worship by offering wafers to the queen of heaven; 40 days of abstinence (lent) to memorialize weeping for Tammuz, followed by a feast to celebrate his resurrection. During these celebrations the people would exchange "Ishtar eggs" (dipped in the blood of sacrificed newborns) to symbolize new life.
The word that came to Jeremiah for all the Jews living in the land of Egypt...saying, "Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, 'You yourselves have seen all the calamity that I have brought on Jerusalem and all the cities of Judah; and behold, this day they are in ruins and no one lives in them, because of their wickedness which they committed so as to provoke Me to anger by continuing to burn sacrifices and to serve other gods whom they had not known, neither they, you, nor your fathers. Yet I sent you all My servants the prophets, again and again, saying, "Oh, do not do this abominable thing which I hate." But they did not listen or incline their ears to turn from their wickedness, so as not to burn sacrifices to other gods. Therefore My wrath and My anger were poured out and burned in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, so they have become a ruin and a desolation as it is this day.
...
'Have you forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, the wickedness of the kings of Judah, and the wickedness of their wives, your own wickedness, and the wickedness of your wives, which they committed in the land of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem? But they have not become contrite even to this day, nor have they feared nor walked in My law or My statutes, which I have set before you and before your fathers.' Therefore thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, 'Behold, I am going to set My face against you for woe, even to cut off all Judah.'"
...
Then all the men who were aware that their wives were burning sacrifices to other gods, along with all the women who were standing by, as a large assembly, including all the people who were living in Pathros in the land of Egypt, responded to Jeremiah, saying, "As for the message that you have spoken to us in the name of the LORD, we are not going to listen to you! But rather we will certainly carry out every word that has proceeded from our mouths, by burning sacrifices to the queen of heaven and pouring out drink offerings to her, just as we ourselves, our forefathers, our kings and our princes did in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; for then we had plenty of food and were well off and saw no misfortune. But since we stopped burning sacrifices to the queen of heaven and pouring out drink offerings to her, we have lacked everything and have met our end by the sword and by famine."
"And," said the women, "when we were burning sacrifices to the queen of heaven and were pouring out drink offerings to her, was it without our husbands that we made for her sacrificial cakes in her image and poured out drink offerings to her?"
Then Jeremiah said to all the people, to the men and women--even to all the people who were giving him such an answer--saying, "As for the smoking sacrifices that you burned in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, you and your forefathers, your kings and your princes, and the people of the land, did not the LORD remember them and did not all this come into His mind? So the LORD was no longer able to endure it, because of the evil of your deeds, because of the abominations which you have committed; thus your land has become a ruin, an object of horror and a curse, without an inhabitant, as it is this day. Because you have burned sacrifices and have sinned against the LORD and not obeyed the voice of the LORD or walked in His law, His statutes or His testimonies, therefore this calamity has befallen you, as it has this day." -Jeremiah 44

Sun worship is often seen as primitive, but is in fact a sophisticated awe inspiring system of worship which appeals to the senses and captivates the mind with its grandiose ceremonies. This system of worship has been perpetuated throughout generations, and in our day forms the basis of all the religions such as Earth Religions, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Catholicism. In the mysteries of Catholicism, sun worship reaches its highest form. The names of the gods have changed, but the system of worship is the same.
As the sungod (Nimrod) plunged into the waters of the river (Euphrates), so the reincarnated son plunged into the waters of the womb to be worshipped as the saviour. The cycle of the sun represents this ancient cycle of the sun rising (Brahma), the sun at the meridian (Siva) and the sun setting (Vishnu). At night, the sun rests in the womb of the ocean in the darkness of the underworld (representing the death and suffering of the sungod). As god of the ocean (Poseidon, Neptune), he was also worshipped as the fishgod Dagon (Dag = fish, On = the name of sungod as he was called in Egypt) who had plunged into the waters of the womb to be reborn. The most prominent form of worship in Babylon was dedicated to Dagon, later known as Ichthys, or the fish. In Chaldean times, the head of the church was the representative of Dagon, he was considered to be infallible, and was addressed as ‘Your Holiness’. Nations subdued by Babylon had to kiss the ring and slipper of the Babylonian god-king. The same powers and the same titles are claimed to this day by the Dalai Lama of Buddhism, and the Pope. Moreover, the vestments of paganism, the fish mitre and robes of the priests of Dagon are worn by the Catholic bishops, cardinals and popes.
And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech. And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. And they said one to another, "Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter." And they said, "Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth." And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. And the LORD said, "Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech." So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth. -Genesis 11
The religion of Babylon naturally scattered to every corner of the earth as well; the mother goddess and the child became idols in every pagan culture. Below are only a few examples.

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. -Romans 1
The Microcosm
The magical vision of the universe of Agrippa von Nettesheim which left traces in the work of Dürer, is influence by the gnostic doctrines of Hermes Trismegistus, which were calculating in Marsilio Ficino's translations. According to these doctrines, man was not only made in God's image, but also gifted with his omnipotence. Agrippa freed man from tiered cosmos, and placed him at the center of creation.
"Only man enjoys the honour of participating in everything...he participates in matter in his own subject, and in the elements through his fourfold body; in plants through his vegetable strength; in animals through the life of the senses; in the heavens through the ethereal spirit...in the angels through his wisdom; in God through the epitome of everything, so man can also come to know everything that can be known..."
It is said man can even direct the astral influences at his will. Agrippa took the geometrical figures of "man is the measure of the universe" from Vitruvius' figures in Francesco Giorgio's Exempada, to which he presumably had access in manuscript form:
The pentacle or pentagram may be the most widely used occult symbol in the world, although few who use it truly understand its meaning. This symbol adorns the flag of nearly every nation in the world and it is mis-used exoterically by many spiritualists, witches and magicians as a protective amulet. Esoterically it is a sacred geometric ruler used in astronomy and navigation to calculate the precession of the equinoxes. It has also been used to illustrate the divinity of man, the microcosm, in harmony with the universal elements (earth, air, fire, water) as well as the spirit. The symbol tells us how man is the measure of all things, which is the philosophy of humanism. Some have also speculated that the pentacle derives from ancient astronomers who observed the pattern of planet Venus, named after the Roman goddess whose Egyptian counterpart is Isis, the queen of heaven.
Planet Venus over an 8-yr period

I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; and shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. -Exodus 20
Thus says the Lord GOD, "On the day when I chose Israel and swore to the descendants of the house of Jacob and made Myself known to them in the land of Egypt, when I swore to them, saying, I am the LORD your God, on that day I swore to them, to bring them out from the land of Egypt into a land that I had selected for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands. I said to them, 'Cast away, each of you, the detestable things of his eyes, and do not defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt; I am the LORD your God.' -Ezekiel 20
The will of God has always conflicted with the compulsive will of man; man has incessantly pursued more wisdom of the supernatural as well as more power over all that is physical - this is all reminiscent of what we know about Lucifer's fall from heaven. And it was Lucifer (the light-bearer) who revealed to us from the beginning the forbidden knowledge of good and evil; for this reason these ancient pagan religions were and are considered mystery religions. While the masses venerated pagan idols and the observable celestial bodies, only the society's elites - the Gnostic High Priests and Priestesses, the sages, master masons, magicians, mystics, astrologers and the alchemists all understood the blasphemous mysteries of their craft. It is no wonder the remains of ancient civilizations around the world provide evidence of at least three identical trends:
- 1) amalgamation of religion and government
- 2) spirituality of the masses directed through a Gnostic hierarchy
- 3) the most fascinating structures were used for worship
![]() |

Perhaps the most well-known examples of Gnosticism in the earliest civilizations were the Pharaohs in Egypt, much like the rulers of Babylon, were considered greater than men; venerated as transcendent beings or the spiritual medium between man and God. Symbols were created and used by those who possessed this secret wisdom as a means to exercise and exhibit their power while concealing the secret.
The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law. -Deuteronomy 29
The equilateral triangle is likely one of the oldest occult symbols, as it attempts to symbolize the trinity. The very fact that a symbol exists to express this should tell us immediately this symbolizes an un-holy trinity, besides the fact it consists of three 60° angles. This symbol also resembles the 3 coveted elements of the godhead - being, power and knowledge.
The masons of antiquity dedicated incredible worshipful effort in building the pyramids (tombs of the pharaohs) and temples that have remarkably endured thousands of years to this day. The pyramid itself is a symbol which represents this Gnostic hierarchy and the power to conceal the mysteries from the goyim.

The obelisk is a tall 4-sided structure which comes to a pyramidal point at the top. The obelisk was an incredibly important part of ancient Egyptian sun worship; they were erected in pairs outside of temples in reverence of the sun god Ra, later known as Horus. The obelisk is a phallic resemblance of a ray of light emanating from the sun disk or sun wheel; pagan worshippers commonly believed the spirit of Ra inhabited these enormous structures.
Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the LORD your God. -Leviticus 26
Thou shalt not plant thee a grove of any trees near unto the altar of the LORD thy God, which thou shalt make thee. Neither shalt thou set thee up any image; which the LORD thy God hateth. -Deuteronomy 16

The occult symbol for deity is the circle or sphere; a perfectly symmetrical symbol having no beginning and no end. The circle with a dot (or a bindu) in the center represents the sun; the bindu often represents the male force while the circle represents the goddess. Some gnostic symbols of deity consist of a serpent creating the circle as it eats its own tail.

The sun cross presents the sun sign in 4 sections, resembling the 4 winds, spirits, directions, seasons and/or basic elements. According to The Herder Symbol Dictionary, the cross inscribed in the circle mediates between the square and the circle, emphasize the joining of heaven and earth, and the perfected human being. This symbol was adopted by the Germanic Order in 1912 and the Thule Society in 1918.
The point within the circle is an interesting and important symbol in Freemasonry...The symbol is really a beautiful but somewhat abstruse allusion to the old sun-worship, and introduces us for the first time to that modification of it, among the ancients as the worship of the phallus. -Albert Macey, A Manual of the Lodge, 1870
Do not let the symbol of the cross deceive you - there is absolutely nothing Christian about this symbol. Prior to the advent of the Messiah the cross was a purely pagan symbol. Of all the ancient methods of state execution, crucifixion was reserved only for the most despicable criminals because of what the act stood for. The victim of execution was nailed to two beams which make the form of a T because the act was a symbolic offering to the Babylonian antichrist Tammuz - the vermin were made to hang from his cross.
When two deity symbols are brought together, the center of the two become what is called a Vesica Pisces, symbolizing the union of god and goddess. The Mandorla, or the almond-shaped center of the two circles represents the womb of the mother goddess. The intersection points also reveal two opposing triangles. The so-called Jesus fish, or Ichthys symbol derives from this occult symbol.
The Vesica Pisces has also been incorporated into the triangle to create what is called the Triquetra. This symbol contains an esoteric version of the devil's mark 666 as I've outlined here.

A Chinese Pentagram |
The pentacle or pentagram may be the most widely used occult symbol in the world, which is interesting as the symbol is most simply explained as a resemblance of humanity (the microcosm), or humanism - the philosophy wherein man (not God) is the measure of all things. Some claim the pentacle derives from observing the pattern of the planet Venus, named after the Roman goddess whose Egyptian counterpart is Isis, the queen of heaven.
Although the full extent of the hidden meaning behind the pentagram today is as diverse as the occult itself; this symbol ultimately represents the microcosm (man) analogous with the elements of the universe (4 points: earth, air, fire, water) as well as the spirit. The pentagram is most often drawn inside a circle, denoting the characteristic of the divine - a blasphemous representation of man becoming god; thus the symbol is symbolic of the power of Venus.
![]() |
The creature most often associated with the pentagram is Baphomet - the goat of Mendes; a demon-god who possesses both male and female qualities, resembling the combination of opposites and the ultimate procreator. Written on his forearms are the Latin words SOLVE (dissolve) and COAGULA (congeal), the arms are pointed above and below towards the light and dark moons - clearly many opposites being drawn together.
This combination of opposites is a constant theme used in occult symbolism. For example, the checker-board pattern on the floor of masonic halls represents the union of darkness and light (good and evil) and within the yin yang symbol we can see a little bit of good in all evil and a little bit of evil in all good.

The Hexagram

The hexagram is the sign of the Great Work - the uniting of the Macrocosm (God/universe) and the Microcosm (man). The red triangle symbolizes God descending into Man and the blue triangle reflects Man's ascension towards God. This symbol is the formula of so-called enlightenment.
The hexagram represents the formula and accomplishment of the great work in both the material and spiritual worlds. It is composed of the symbols for fire and water. It is synonymous with the symbol of the rose and cross, the ankh (crux ansata), the sun and moon conjoined, and the cross and circle. It represents the union of the two opposites in nature, male and female, light and darkness, activity and passivity, and all other opposites that constitute creation.
The hexagram is a geometrical symbol of the sun. The sun is an external symbol of the one reality or the one self that is manifest in all things. One of the most significant of all realizations for the adept is that s/he is the sun made manifest in the flesh, an incarnation of the lord of the solar system. The hexagram is the sign of such an adept.
From one point of view, the upright triangle of the hexagram represents the Holy Guardian Angel, our inner self, and the inverted triangle represents WoMan, our human self. These two triangles united represent what is called in magick "the attainment of the Knowledge and Conversation of the Holy Guardian Angel." The Holy Guardian Angel is the "star" of every man and every woman, that is, their inner celestial nature as opposed to their purely human self. To unite one's human consciousness with that angel is to awaken the solar consciousness and to realize oneself in the sun of light and life.
From another point of view the upright triangle represents WoMan ascending into godhead through the power of aspiration, and the inverted triangle represents God descending into WoMan through the power of inspiration. These two triangles interlaced indicate the completion of the great work; they represent a perfect balance of the human and divine will, a complete synthesis and harmony of all that is terrestrial and celestial.
The hexagram is also a geometrical symbol of Lapis Philosophorum, the Stone of the Philosophers, which is the product of Sol and Luna and/or fire and water. It is therefore a symbol of what is termed in magick, "the Mystery of Mysteries" and "the Secret of Secrets." It is said that by the application of this great secret the alchemist can transmute all base metals into the perfect material gold of the sun, which is the first and final product of the mineral kingdom. Gold is the perfect metal of all metals, the most exalted form of the mineral kingdom. It is a material symbol of a spiritual reality that is also symbolized in heaven by the great sun of light. All other metals are said to be imperfections of gold, and they are striving in nature to become the perfect gold. Thus the hexagram represents that which brings nature to perfection.
The hexagram consists of 60° and 120° angles. 6 and 12 is equal to three sixes. Each individual line of the opposing triangles are sectioned into three equal parts, each of which may be represented by a 1, which gives you 6 x 111 = 666. 60 is also the number of the Hebrew letter Samekh, which is the letter of the Holy Guardian Angel. Six angles of 60° each equal 360° degrees, and 360 is the number of the Hebrew letter Shin spelled in full. Shin is the letter of the Spirit of the Sun and it is esoterically composed of three Hebrew Vavs. Vav is the sixth letter of the Hebrew Alphabet, so that three Vavs indicate the number 666. The geometric shape also conceals 6 hexagonal sides, 6 sides of 2 opposing triangles and 6 smaller equilateral triangles.
The Masonic square and compass is also a hexagram resembling the combination of opposites. The compass, utilized to draw perfect circles, represents both the spiritual realm (universe/macrocosm) and the masculine blade. The square symbolizes both the measurable physical realm (man/microcosm) and the feminine chalice; notice how the compass measures the square. Some believe the G in the middle of the symbol represents the freemasons' use of Gnosticism, or more simply gnosis (knowledge); others will say it stands for geometry -that is, secret geometry. Some Freemasons will tell you this stands for the Great Architect of the Universe. I believe this G stands for the mystery of generativity, or eternal life.
It should be noted the hexagram is most commonly associated with Israel and Judaism as their "star of David" although the only reason for this is the symbol's significance in the Jewish Kabala and the occult roots of Zionism. Lo and behold, the Kabala is a prime example of Gnostic doctrine created and used by men in an effort to explain God's mysterious nature and to mimic His power.

The pagan god Janus (Cush), symbolized by this double-headed figure, is worshipped as the god of gods, the beginning and the end, the god of new beginnings and new creations. When Pope Gregory XIII introduced the Gregorian calendar in 1582, the 1st month of the year was appropriately named in honor of Janus, whose double-headed symbol represents bringing the wisdom of the old world into the new world. Janus was known to say of himself, "the ancients....called me chaos." |
| The symbol of the double-headed eagle bears the same hidden meaning, and it is well understood this noble bird is not an eagle; it is the phoenix, the fire bird of the rising (resurrected) sun god as it was worshipped in the ancient mystery religions. The symbol shown here is associated with the Freemasons. The Latin phrase "Deus meumque Jus" means "God and My Right." The true intended expression of this phrase is more along the lines of "being God is my right." | ![]() |

The sun wheel is identical to the 8-pointed star. In some cases this star is drawn with more points in multiples of 4 and enclosed in a circle. This is both symbolic of the goddess Isis as well as the sun god. |
-Romans 1
And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD, that I will cut off thy horses out of the midst of thee, and I will destroy thy chariots: and I will cut off the cities of thy land, and throw down all thy strong holds: and I will cut off witchcrafts out of thine hand; and thou shalt have no more soothsayers: thy graven images also will I cut off, and thy standing images out of the midst of thee; and thou shalt no more worship the work of thine hands. And I will pluck up thy groves out of the midst of thee: so will I destroy thy cities. And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the heathen, such as they have not heard. -Micah 5
At that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel. And he shall not look to the altars, the work of his hands, neither shall respect that which his fingers have made, either the groves, or the images. In that day shall his strong cities be as a forsaken bough, and an uppermost branch, which they left because of the children of Israel: and there shall be desolation. Because thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength, therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips: in the day shalt thou make thy plant to grow, and in the morning shalt thou make thy seed to flourish: but the harvest shall be a heap in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow. -Isaiah 17

And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. -
